Kebreab appointed Associate Dean of Global Engagement and Director of the World Food Center


The UC Davis World Food Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Ermias Kebreab as Director of the World Food Center. Dr. Kebreab will serve as the Associate Dean of Global Engagement within the College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, which includes the World Food Center.

Dr. Ermias Kebreab has been appointed to the Committee on Anthropogenic Methane Emissions in the United States by The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. At the request of NASA, NOAA, EPA, and DOE, this study will examine approaches to measuring, monitoring, reporting, and developing inventories of anthropogenic emissions of methane to the atmosphere. Dr. Kebreab has been appointed the Associate Vice Provost of Academic Programs in Global Affairs at UC Davis, effective July 1, 2015.
